Yande Mwewa

I’m a Zambian, registered secondary school teacher with a Bachelor of Arts with Education (English/Religious Education). I’m passionate about turning learning into a practical experience where every learner can grow and reach their full potential.

At Highland Primary School (Kitwe), I work as a Teacher Assistant in the ECE section and also support Fourth and Sixth grade teaching, while serving as a School Manager. I create teaching aids, apply appropriate pedagogy, and foster critical thinking through lessons designed for learners’ needs and competencies.

I develop assessment tasks and learning support including Weekly, Monthly and Termly tests, remedial work, and School Based Assessments. I prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, tests, and remedial materials, and I incorporate technological aid and resources to strengthen teaching and learning.

I also collaborate closely with school administration and fellow teachers to ensure effective teaching and learning, while actively participating in continuous professional development. Through my student teacher experience at Mukuba Secondary School, I prepared teaching files and records of work, analyzed pupil performance (tenth graders), supported discipline and guidance, and contributed to extra-curricular activities.
