Xavier Kinikinilau

I’m a Practical Counsellor and a final-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts in Counselling at Fiji National University. My foundation in counselling is strengthened by hands-on practical experience and a strong commitment to supporting others with care and respect.

In my Practical Counsellor role at Saint Johns College (07/2024–06/2024), I built confidence through real workplace practice, applying my active listening and empathy in a school setting. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where people feel heard, understood, and encouraged to move forward.

Before focusing fully on counselling, I gained experience as Sales Assitance at Baleiyanuca Electrical Services (Sales Assitance /2023–07/2023–06). That experience strengthened my communication and teamwork, helping me stay reliable and professional while assisting customers and supporting daily operations.

Across my education and leadership roles—such as Form captain, Prefect, School Deputy Headboy, and School Dux—I’ve developed dependable leadership and responsibility. I bring highly reliable, empathetic, and people-focused support, and I’m ready to grow further in counselling through meaningful mentorship and an environment that values compassion and teamwork.
