Wedad Alshameri

At the International Committee of the Red Cross in Yemen, I review and validate designs, drawings, BoQs, proposals, and budgets for construction and WASH projects valued from $30,000 to $700,000. I lead feasibility studies, technical design, procurement documentation, implementation monitoring, risk management, handover, and reporting.

Previously at Save the Children, I prepared BoQs, drawings, cost estimates, and tender documents for water and sanitation facilities, supported transparent contractor selection, and reduced technical tender-analysis time from 7–14 days to 3–6 days across more than 14 tenders. I also facilitated operation, maintenance, and monitoring training for 64 health workers and community volunteers.

My humanitarian field experience with IOM includes supervising more than 250 zinc latrines, implementing six bathing facilities for a migrants’ camp, and verifying and responding to WASH needs for more than 200 displaced households. I bring practical experience across assessments, emergency response, distributions, field reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

I’ve also secured more than seven winning construction tender proposals worth $1.12M and led field teams to deliver projects at a 25% net profit. As a PMP and PMI-RMP-certified civil engineer, I use AutoCAD, Revit, Robot Structural Analysis, Power BI, Excel, and GIS to deliver efficient, sustainable infrastructure projects in challenging environments.
