Vivian Namunyu

I’m an undergraduate actuarial science student (First-Class Honours BSc Actuarial Science) with practical experience across insurance analytics, financial modelling, reserving, and IFRS 17 reporting. I’m detail oriented and analytical, and I convert complex information into meaningful insights for evidence-based decision-making.

In my Actuarial Analyst Intern role at Liberty & Heritage Insurance, I support actuarial valuation and modelling based on IFRS 17 models including GMM, VFA, and PAA. I perform AVT data checks and preparations for modelling in Prophet, review policy data, reconcile policy records for accuracy and compliance, and collaborate with finance teams on risk and portfolio analysis. I also use Excel to clean, organize, and interpret financial datasets while monitoring progress against outputs, outcomes, and KPIs.

I further strengthen my analytics and stakeholder impact through data and client-focused work. As a Data Analysis Intern at Boresha SACCO, I handled data cleaning and analysis, built Power BI dashboards from multiple data sources, and supported trend reporting, budget/burn rate monitoring, and expenditure variance tracking. I also served as a Financial Advisor at Britam Insurance, preparing and checking financial plans and assisting the business development team with customized insurance products.
