I’m a Head bioinformatician at AIM GmbH and a Co-Founder at spcfy GmbH, focused on delivering rigorous bioinformatics for real biological questions. I bring deep experience across genomics-driven research and applied analysis.
At spcfy, I work as a Bioinformatics Co-Founder - Bioinformatician (December 2019–Present), partnering expertise with execution to translate datasets into evolutionary and functional understanding. Previously, as a Senior bioinformatician at AIM - Advanced Identification Methods GmbH (8 years 8 months), I strengthened my ability to lead complex analysis end-to-end.
My research highlights include a genome-wide scan for genes under balancing selection in Drosophila melanogaster and phylostratigraphic analysis of the evolutionary emergence of organ systems in multicellular animals. I’ve also produced population genetics evidence for cold adaptation in European Drosophila melanogaster and developed phylostratigraphic profiles that reveal deep evolutionary history in vertebrate head sensory systems.
