What I'm looking for
I’m a Senior Python Backend Engineer with 9+ years of experience building scalable backend systems, automation solutions, and data pipelines. I specialize in turning complex integration needs into reliable, production-grade REST and FastAPI services.
At IBM, I’ve developed and maintained API-driven workflows that clean, validate, and transform metadata for ingestion into Alation. I also improved performance and reliability by reviewing and refactoring APIs handling high traffic, and I automated CI/CD enhancements across the API release lifecycle to streamline development and deployment.
I’ve led Snowflake-to-Alation data integration by designing and implementing ETL solutions that support tenant onboarding, cataloging, and validation. Earlier, at Tech Mahindra, I built AI/ML and image-processing automation (OCR with Tesseract and OpenCV) and delivered end-to-end project work, supported by recognition including IBM Spot and Apex awards and Tech Mahindra Pat on Back and Ninja awards.

Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Designed and implemented ETL pipelines to ingest data from Snowflake into Alation, including tenant onboarding and cataloging validation. Collaborated on integration design decisions and built reusable solutions for accurate data transfer between systems.
Developed an Alation sidecar to perform end-to-end data cleaning, validation, and transformation for metadata ingestion. Reviewed and refactored REST/FastAPI services for higher reliability under high API traffic and automated curated data ingestion via Python scripts and API-driven workflows.
Built an automated bot to match KYC data against database records, reducing manual verification effort. Implemented Python-based matching logic with improved data validation and exception/error handling for reliable comparisons.
Built a predictive module for Migrona to recommend optimal VM CPU and memory configuration using current and historical utilization. Developed a Linear Regression model to forecast post-migration resource requirements and support data-driven capacity planning.
Developed automation bots including e-invoicing generation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Implemented OCR-based image quality checks using Tesseract and OpenCV to extract and process text from drawing sheets.
