Upendra Kumar

I’m an entry-level machine learning and data-focused engineer who’s drawn to turning messy data into reliable predictions. My foundation comes from an M-Tech in Thermal and Fluid Mechanical Engineering (IIT (BHU), Varanasi), supported by strong analytical training through projects and coursework.

I work with databases and analytics tools to structure data for modeling. I use MySQL, MongoDB, and Microsoft Excel, and I build statistical and machine learning workflows with Python and R, along with C++ when needed.

In my projects, I’ve implemented time series forecasting using ARIMA, including seasonality, trend/level analysis, and stationarity verification through autocorrelation and partial autocorrelation. I also developed a classification methodology for predicting the quality of wafer sensors, with supporting high-level and low-level design documentation.

I enjoy collaborating and driving execution—serving as an event organizer and core team member for major cultural and winter sports events at IIT Gandhinagar. Outside academics, I volunteer in mentorship and learning-focused programs for underprivileged students.
