Business Analyst with 5+ years across banking, fintech, telecoms, and government. I led the digitization of a ₦365 billion Rights Issue with zero

Nigeria
Message

I am a Business Analyst with 5+ years delivering process automation, digital commerce, and digital transformation across banking, fintech, telecoms, and government, and I specialize in being the person who turns ambiguity into shipped, adopted software.

Selected work:

• Led end-to-end digitization of a ₦365 billion (~$240M) Rights Issue for Access Bank, one of Africa's largest banks, replacing manual reconciliation across registrars, branches, and capital market operators with a digital workflow that recorded zero reconciliation errors.

• Sole Business Analyst on a mission-critical Accounting Management System for a federal government institution: 14 functional modules, role-based access control, multi-level approval workflows, and 100+ business rules aligned with government financial regulations.

• Cut GL reconciliation time by 89% (8 hours to 45 minutes) and treasury processing time by 80%+ across 13+ African subsidiaries through RPA (UiPath, ProcessMaker) and custom application delivery.

• Currently drive requirements for MTN Nigeria's digital commerce platforms, including the eShop marketplace, an SME e-commerce enablement product and enterprise digitalisation platforms.

• Shaped Open Banking readiness in Nigeria through CBN guidelines analysis, API standards documentation, and industry seminars; I follow SAMA and CBUAE Open Finance developments closely.

How I work: end-to-end and remote-ready. Elicitation and stakeholder workshops, BPMN process mapping, BRDs, user stories with granular acceptance criteria, RTM, UAT planning and defect triage, and change management through go-live. I run distributed delivery daily across Jira, Confluence, and async documentation, currently working remotely with teams across multiple time zones. My standard is simple: solutions must be technically sound, strategically aligned, and user-centred, because what gets built must get adopted.

Certified PSM I; pursuing CBAP. Author of Apply Like You Mean It, a practical guide for job seekers.

Open to remote Business Analyst roles in fintech, banking, e-commerce, and digital transformation. Portfolio: ubonudonkang.github.io
