I’m a Software Engineer II with 3+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable distributed systems in production. I bring a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design, and I’m passionate about writing clean, well-tested code that improves scalability and operational excellence.

In my current role, I’ve built distributed backend services for a customer-facing financial platform, replacing a manual workflow with an online application supporting 35K+ applications and $6.27B in loan volume. I developed REST APIs with Java and Spring Boot, implemented event-driven processing with Kafka and the Outbox pattern across 20+ microservices, and delivered features that reduced loan approval cycle time from 25–30 days to 7 days.

I also strengthen reliability and performance through query optimization and observability, including reducing database query latency from ~5s to ~0.5s. Previously, I built AWS-deployed backend systems in Go for healthcare use cases, created a secure HL7 transmission agent that reduced operational costs by 40%, and supported standardized deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. I’ve also worked as a Research Assistant building Python ML/NLP pipelines and applying statistical validation to physiological data.
