Tomas Jalil

I’m a Full Stack Developer and startup-minded builder with 4+ years of experience developing production software across frontend, backend, automation, scraping, and data workflows. I mainly work with Vue.js, Node.js, and Python, and I enjoy building systems that solve messy real-world problems and create clear business impact.

I’m currently the CTO and main developer at Turbodato, where I lead the development of an e-commerce price monitoring platform. My work includes building and maintaining data collection pipelines, product matching systems, internal tools, and customer-facing workflows. A big part of my role has been turning complex and ambiguous operational problems into software that is reliable, practical, and useful in production.

What I enjoy most is working in environments where I can take ownership and contribute beyond pure implementation. I like being involved in product thinking, technical decisions, architecture, and execution, especially in startups where speed, adaptability, and good judgment matter a lot. Over the last few years, I’ve had to work across many layers of the stack, solve problems with imperfect inputs, and ship under real business constraints, which helped me grow quickly as an engineer.

From a technical perspective, I’m especially interested in backend systems, product engineering, data-intensive workflows, automation, and building tools that make complex operations simpler. I also enjoy thinking about how technical systems connect to business outcomes, not just how to make something work, but how to make it valuable.

At this stage, I’m looking for a role where I can keep growing in a strong engineering environment, work on meaningful product challenges, and have real ownership over what I build. I’m especially drawn to remote-first and startup environments with high standards, smart people, and a culture of accountability and collaboration.
