Thandolwakhe Skeyi

I am a healthcare professional with over seven years of experience across primary healthcare, chronic disease management, renal care, managed healthcare, case management, and care coordination. Throughout my career, I have worked in both clinical and healthcare administration environments, developing expertise in patient support, stakeholder engagement, healthcare operations, clinical risk management, and service delivery.

My experience includes working as a Care Coordinator at Medscheme, where I support high-risk patients through care coordination, utilisation management, treatment adherence initiatives, and collaboration with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes while promoting cost-effective care. Prior to this, I worked as a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner at Clicks Clinic and Kaelo Clinic, providing comprehensive healthcare services, chronic disease management, health education, occupational health services, wellness programmes, and preventative care. I also gained specialised experience in renal dialysis at National Renal Care, managing patients with chronic kidney disease and working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

I enjoy roles that involve communication, problem-solving, project coordination, stakeholder management, and improving processes. My strengths include relationship building, client service, clinical judgement, organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. I have experience working with patients, healthcare providers, medical schemes, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and professionalism.

In addition to my professional experience, I am currently completing a Master of Public Health Nutrition at Stellenbosch University. I have a strong interest in managed healthcare, clinical risk management, case management, healthcare operations, compliance, quality improvement, public health, and healthcare technology.
