What I'm looking for

I want to keep delivering compassionate psychiatric care while coordinating services that prevent unnecessary hospitalization. I’m looking for a role where I can lead on documentation, assessments, staff education, and care transitions for diverse patients.

I’m a PMHNP-BC and results-oriented psychiatric nursing professional with a strong medical background and a career built around helping people stabilize, recover, and maintain independence. I’m goal-directed, persuasive, adaptable, and known as a skilled communicator who can “listen to and identify issues” and then form innovative solutions.

In my current PMHNP-BC role, I serve as a primary or secondary care provider—evaluating sudden changes in condition for rapid on-site intervention and managing chronic disease stabilization (including heart failure, diabetes, and dementia) to prevent deterioration. I conduct mandated Medicare/Medicaid assessments, recertifications, and comprehensive care plan updates, and I manage medication reconciliation, specialist coordination, and discharge planning so transitions are safe and well supported.

Across case management and mental health skill-building, I focus on suicide prevention and coordinated care. As a Suicide Prevention Case Manager, I assess risk by identifying warning signs, provide counseling to clients and families, create care plans with physicians and professionals, educate on mental health and suicide prevention, and maintain confidentiality while ensuring accurate, timely documentation.

I also bring deep leadership and clinical education experience, including program management, documentation and training “via the web and in-person,” and supervision of nursing and direct care staff. From leading dementia/Alzheimer’s training and infection control education to supervising 9 homes and monitoring medication side effects, my approach combines clinical rigor with strong community relations—through networking with agencies, faith/community partners, and local resources—to improve outcomes for diverse populations.
