Maen Altawaha

I am a medical student at Yarmouk University pursuing an M.D. with active involvement in clinical research and university leadership. I co-founded the Medical Research Club and have contributed to laboratory work and systematic review efforts in breast cancer.

I gained hands-on lab experience with Western Blot and ELISA as a volunteer research assistant and currently perform data extraction and screening for an ongoing systematic review. I regularly teach and present on critical appraisal and research quality to peers.

I engage deeply in community and student-led initiatives, serving on the Student Union Activities Committee, as a student representative on faculty committees, and as a quality officer for a breast cancer early detection clinic. I organize events, lead cohorts, and volunteer in public health education.

I am interested in neurology, radiology (including interventional radiology), oncology, and internal medicine subspecialties such as cardiology and gastroenterology, and I seek roles that combine clinical training with research and community impact.
