Taryn Burkett-Sanders

I am a registered nurse and health occupations instructor with hands-on experience across clinical and educational settings. I currently teach health occupations and instruct STNA while maintaining clinical competencies as a multi-skilled technician.

As Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, I led daily operations, educated and evaluated staff, and supervised nursing teams to maintain quality care. I have more than four years managing long-term care and skilled nursing facility operations and mentoring staff.

I hold a Bachelor of Nursing Science (expected August 2025) and completed my RN and LPN certifications, progressing from LPN to RN while balancing clinical leadership and teaching roles. My academic performance reflects consistent focus and dedication to nursing practice and education.

I maintain certifications in IV/PICC/Central line and port care, TPN management, skin and wound care, infection control, phlebotomy, CPR instruction and Stop the Bleed instruction, and train-the-trainer methodologies. I am driven to improve patient outcomes and to teach the next generation of caregivers in community-focused settings.
