Tamara Rothbart
@tamararothbart
Editorial leader and ghostwriter building AI content pipelines for subscription publishing.
What I'm looking for
I’m an editorial leader with 25+ years across magazines, digital publishing, and book ghostwriting, including Features Director at Elle South Africa and editor roles at Cosmopolitan and Woolworths' W magazine. I bring senior editorial judgement—briefing, coaching, line editing, and voice—into the production process.
Now I’m the founder of two subscription publishing products, with the entire content operation running on AI workflows I designed and built myself with Claude. The result is a rare blend of editorial craft and hands-on engineering: story analysis, narrative-gap detection, dynamic prompt generation, and automated book assembly—powered daily through Claude Code and the Anthropic API.
I also architect and maintain the full working stack solo, including Netlify serverless functions, Airtable, Mailjet automation, PDFShift rendering, and custom HTML/CSS. Alongside building systems, I focus on developmental and line editing, brief writing, and writer coaching (five years tutoring for SA Writers College), with editorial quality systems and brand-voice definition at the core.
