What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can support students’ emotional, psychological, and academic wellbeing through confidential, evidence-based counselling—using active listening, culturally sensitive approaches, and trauma-informed support to help them make positive decisions and build resilience.

I am a Professional Counsellor with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counseling, experienced in supporting students’ emotional, psychological, and academic wellbeing. I conduct confidential counselling sessions, guide individuals through personal challenges, and promote resilience using empathetic and culturally sensitive approaches.

In my Student Counsellor role at Daystar University, Nairobi, I established safe and trusting environments for open communication and self-expression, maintained confidential counselling records, and supported students in developing coping mechanisms, decision-making skills, and personal resilience. I also collaborated with faculty to monitor student wellbeing and academic engagement, and I bring strong active listening, conflict resolution, behavioural observation, and student engagement to every client interaction.
