What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an embedded role where I can own firmware development, FreeRTOS concurrency, and hardware bring-up. I want a team that values strong debugging with JTAG/logic tools, close hardware collaboration, and improving reliability through thorough testing.

I’m an Embedded Systems Engineer with around 4+ years of experience in firmware development for microcontroller-based systems in semiconductor and healthcare domains. I focus on building reliable embedded solutions end-to-end—from development and debugging to testing and hardware validation.

At NXP Semiconductors, I joined the team from early stages, contributing to planning, development, testing, and release of an embedded platform. I wrote firmware in C, developed drivers for SPI, I2C, and UART, and set up FreeRTOS tasks to handle concurrent operations like data processing, communication, and user input.

I’ve also integrated features that improve real-world usability and performance, including UART and USB-based interfaces, and GPS integration with NMEA data parsing for location tracking. To keep systems efficient under continuous load, I used DMA and ring buffers, and I configured GPIO interrupts for immediate event response instead of polling.

I’m hands-on with verification and issue resolution using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers, and I’ve debugged multi-threaded issues like race conditions and memory access conflicts between tasks. Previously at Medtronic, I developed I2C sensor drivers, supported BLE, implemented SPI Flash/EEPROM offline data logging with wear-leveling logic, and helped validate firmware with QA by using strong debugging and early edge-case coverage.
