At Etsy, I architect and develop a Rust-based retrieval service powering search for millions of daily queries at under 100ms latency. I also build Scala and Apache Beam pipelines on GCP Dataflow that generate embeddings for more than 100 million listings and millions of users daily.
Previously, I built Rust feature-store and data-lineage services at StandardAI, and spent nearly seven years scaling Scala microservices, ETL pipelines, subscription systems, and high-performance Rust streaming proxies at iHeartRadio. My work improved real-time stream resource efficiency and memory usage by up to 90%.
I’ve also delivered backend advertising systems at HuffPost and enjoy working closely with ML, product, mobile, web, and payments teams to ship reliable systems that improve user outcomes.
