I’m a Senior Data Protection Engineer with 14+ years of CommVault design and implementation experience, including Simpana 8, 9, 10, and v11. I’ve also built and supported disaster recovery programs for medium and large data centers, with deep hands-on work across SQL backups, VMware, and storage platforms.

In recent roles, I’ve served as a primary SME for Commvault design, planning, and implementation—owning both Azure cloud and on-prem SQL backups. I troubleshot SQL, VMware, and file system backup failures, added anomalous monitoring and alerting to improve cyber resiliency, and delivered several weeks of 100% backups with 17,000+ backup jobs per week. I improved Commvault SLA to 100% for three months, implemented RBAC controls as part of Commvault hardening, and managed NetApp and Pure storage growth to keep backup capacity aligned.

Earlier, I successfully led enterprise migrations (including moving 80 Unix machines from Networker to Commvault v11), defined clear DR RTO/RPO/SLA targets, and set up reliable backup database and media agent architectures for resilience. I also helped design remote-site data protection, restored to meet security and DRP requirements, and supported audit readiness—such as creating an IT Disaster Recovery Plan that passed the September SSAE16 audit.
