At Guidehouse, I led two distributed teams (13 engineers across frontend and backend) in a regulated fintech environment, working directly with product and executive stakeholders. Here's what that leadership translated to, in business terms:

i. Faster, more predictable revenue delivery — Release predictability jumped from 75% to 95%, cutting 1–2 weeks of delay per cycle. For a fintech business, that's 1–2 fewer weeks customers wait for what they were promised — and 1–2 fewer weeks of internal cost absorbed before a release earns its value back.
ii. Protected budget and scope commitments — Unplanned scope overruns dropped 70–80%, meaning what the business quoted to customers is what got delivered — no surprise cost creep, no re-negotiated timelines.
iii. Fewer stalled releases, faster time-to-market — A 24-hour blocker-resolution process, preventing the kind of last-minute delays that push launch dates and cost real revenue.

I came up through QA, which means I catch technical risk early and translate it into terms leadership can act on — before it becomes a missed deadline or an unhappy customer.
I'm at my best in environments where delivery has real business stakes, where distributed teams need a steady operator, and where "engineering" and "the business" need to actually talk to each other.
