Souya Handa

I’m a software development professional with a robust background in engineering and English-to-Japanese technical translation, bringing advanced communication and critical analysis skills to every project. My training (MASc, MFA) strengthens how I review requirements, clarify intent, and deliver technically accurate outcomes.

Since 2018, I’ve been the Founder and Director of Souya Handa Projects LLC and a freelance professional, providing end-to-end services including programming, software design, and English-to-Japanese technical translation. I secure and execute contracts with IT companies, specializing in programming and creating instructional videos on software usage.

From 2014 to 2017 at Fireweed Co., Ltd., I served as a Programmer, Debugger, Designer, and Software Engineer (SE). I was responsible for the entire scope of software design—covering UX design and the design of software structures—so I could build solutions that are both technically sound and easy to use.

Earlier, as an Administrator and Designer at Dharma Capital K.K. (2017–2018), I worked in a role that required engineering knowledge and principles. I bring a consistent ethos of precise language review, technical clarity, and a continuous drive to explore the intersection of technology and IT.
