Sourajit Deb

I’m a Junior Consultant in Programs & Operations at Assam University, supporting departments with accounts handling, records management, and accurate documentation. I also maintain operational continuity by chairing key minutes and supporting committee workflows for departmental affairs and research.

I take ownership of web and academic operations—co-administering an alumni website, keeping alumni records current, and helping faculty with BBA programme data management like internal marks compilation, attendance tracking, and exam timetable scheduling. I’ve also supported seminar and national conference logistics and managed admission-cycle verification for MBA/BBA and record handling for PhD candidates.

Before this role, I interned at C-DAC (NIT Silchar), where I built “Pragati AI,” an educational platform for children (9–14) to learn machine learning concepts. I created animations and content to simplify complex ML ideas, applied UX design to make the platform engaging, ran user-testing sessions, and implemented interactive quizzes to strengthen learning.

Through my projects, I enjoy turning technical ideas into usable solutions—such as a multi-language code editor with Judge0 backend, a CNN/OpenCV-based facial recognition attendance system with a Tkinter GUI, and a full-stack student housing platform with authentication. I bring adaptability, clear communication, and a strong teamwork mindset to every deliverable.
