What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a backend/systems role where I can build secure, high-performance APIs and scalable platforms—using event-driven design, strong data modeling, and cloud deployments—while owning reliability, uptime, and extensible architecture.

I’m a Backend/Systems Engineer at The Future Academy (April 2025–Present), where I architect and build a production-grade learning platform for early-stage users across domain-driven modules like auth, users, learning, and billing. I focus on designing systems that are decomposable, extensible, and reliable from day one.

I develop 30+ high-performance REST API endpoints in Rust (Actix Web), consistently delivering sub-100ms response times even under constrained infrastructure. I engineer payment and subscription flows with webhook-driven state updates and backend-enforced access control, maintaining 99%+ system uptime.

Security and data integrity are central to how I work. I implement authentication and authorization using AWS Cognito with JWT validation middleware and fine-grained RBAC across student, instructor, and admin domains. I also design and maintain PostgreSQL data layers with SQLx compile-time guarantees, schema migrations, and optimized query patterns across 10+ domain modules.

I’m comfortable building for the long term: I introduced an internal event bus (Tokio broadcast) to reduce inter-module coupling and enable event-driven communication. On the frontend side, I’ve built scalable Next.js architecture with role-aware routing and synchronized client-server authorization—while optimizing for cost-efficiency and scalability in cloud deployments.
