At Numerical Machining Complex (NMC), I worked as a Mechanical Engineering Attaché, programming and operating multi-axis CNC milling equipment and supporting precision manufacturing. I also gained experience in metal casting, welding, and reverse engineering for manufacturing.
At Associated Motors, ISUZU, I worked as a Mechanical Engineering Attaché on vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs for heavy-duty and light vehicles. I also carried out Pre-Delivery Inspections.
For my 10kW Crossflow Turbine design project, I performed hydraulic dimensioning and structural design, sizing the runner geometry, nozzle, and casing for deployment on Kenyan rivers. I also designed a compound reverted helical gearbox, using gear-stress and shaft-fatigue analysis to achieve a factor of safety above 2 across all shafts.
My other projects include converting a gasoline engine into a 4 kW biogas-fueled generator and designing a maize cob crusher and compactor. I’m studying for a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology and hold several Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks certifications.
