Sohail Ahmed

I am an Electrical Engineering graduate focused on power systems, renewable energy and smart-grid automation. I combine academic training with hands-on internship experience in power generation and industrial electrical systems.

I am proficient in MATLAB/Simulink, AutoCAD Electrical, Arduino, Proteus and MS Office, and I apply these tools to circuit design, control systems and system modeling. My background includes technical and scientific writing, critical analysis, and problem-solving in engineering contexts.

I completed multiple industry internships supporting inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of power generation equipment, gaining practical exposure to operational safety and control systems. I have experience collaborating with electrical maintenance teams and supporting engineering research and documentation.

My final-year project developed smart-grid integrated PV inverter control for autonomous voltage regulation and VAR ancillary services, and I have built prototype systems such as an automated streetlight, a password-protected door lock, and a DC water-pump speed controller. I am eager to contribute to renewable energy and smart-grid projects in an entry-level engineering role with opportunities for mentorship and growth.
