Sofia Castaño

I am an architect with strategic thinking and an analytical approach, focused on collaborative work in interdisciplinary environments. I am motivated by sustainability, architectural representation and the integration of digital tools, whilst maintaining clear and effective communication in multidisciplinary contexts.

In my role as an Architectural Intern – Planning Department of Caldas Goverment, I supported the drafting, refinement and optimisation of architectural plans, as well as the verification and improvement of graphical and technical information. I have worked with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Rhino (basic), integrating drawing and modelling processes for projects under development.

At the same time, I lead and participate in research groups: I am Head of the Communication and Outreach Department in the BIM and Sustainability Research Group, coordinating visual identity, official channels and management of the communications team. Furthermore, I have supported projects such as the Net Zero Carbon Campus and the National “BIM Ambassadors Event”, reinforcing my focus on digital transformation for the public AEC sector, strategic planning and the documentation of results.
