I am a dedicated Data Science undergraduate at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, specializing in Data Science. My journey in this field has been fueled by a deep interest in Machine Learning, AI, and Data Engineering. I thrive on transforming data into meaningful insights and am passionate about leveraging technology to address real-world challenges.

As the President of the Data Science Student Community, I have honed my leadership skills while collaborating with diverse teams on various projects. Notable achievements include developing a RAG-based web application for financial insights and a machine learning model for wine quality prediction. I am eager to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to innovative projects that make a significant impact.

Developed a RAG based web application that processes Microsoft annual report PDFs and delivers context-aware financial insights using Google Gemini API, ChromaDB, and Sentence Transformers to analyze Microsoft’s annual report. Implemented PDF text extraction, semantic document retrieval, and query augmentation to enable context-aware responses.

Led the development of an NLP application using BART to generate concise summaries, including a special feature to summarize content directly from web links. Integrated sentiment analysis, keyword extraction, and topic modeling for enhanced user experience.
