What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a data role where I can own BI reporting end-to-end, optimise SQL/Python pipelines, and translate insights into decisions for non-technical stakeholders in a collaborative remote team.

I’m a Data Analyst with 6+ years of commercial experience across Python, SQL, and BI tools, working across large organisations including Vodafone and Travis Perkins. I hit the ground running in new environments, quickly building clarity and momentum while adding value early.

In my current role as a BI Analyst at Oxford Direct Services, I took sole ownership of the entire BI function, managing 40+ Power BI reports during a major migration from SQL Server to Azure. I rebuilt SQL logic with CTEs to meet OCC regulatory authority requirements, achieved a 95% match, and was recognised with a “Doing Good Award” for outstanding commitment under pressure.

I also diagnose and resolve critical Power BI gateway failures independently, learning gateway administration to restore report refresh pipelines under time pressure. On the performance side, I optimised legacy SQL queries to reduce refresh times from 15+ minutes to under 5 minutes and eliminated timeout failures linked to bandwidth constraints during the Azure migration.

Previously at Travis Perkins and Vodafone, I migrated thousands of BigQuery objects to a new GCP data lake, automated processes with Python in Google Colab, and rebuilt legacy dashboards in Looker. I’ve delivered client-facing analytics platforms in Tableau, built Python-based anomaly detection, led upskilling through code reviews, and presented outcomes directly to senior leadership.
