What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a research-focused role where I can deepen molecular biotechnology and cryopreservation work, strengthen RNA-seq/bioinformatics analysis, and contribute through field coordination, rigorous documentation, and scientific publication.

I’m a Science Research Specialist II who supports semen cryopreservation and molecular biotechnology workflows, translating lab work into usable field outcomes. In my roles at the Cryobank Section of the Philippine Carabao Center, I spearheaded field utilization activities of cryopreserved swine and goat semen through artificial insemination.

I handle semen profiling and cryopreservation-related activities, lead field data collection and organization, and coordinate with project stakeholders (including project statisticians) to deliver data analysis and interpretation. I also prepare and submit completion reports and technical documents, and I present project updates and results during scientific conferences, in-house/external reviews, and briefings with the funding agency.

I combine wet-lab expertise with computational skills—extracting DNA/RNA, performing RT-qPCR/PCR, supporting cDNA synthesis and sequencing workflows, and using bioinformatics tools like RStudio and Galaxy for genomic/transcriptomic analysis. I’ve prepared and published one scientific paper in a Scopus-indexed journal, and I’m passionate about building rigor through quality control, documentation, and clear scientific communication.
