Shannon Kratzer

I am a compassionate and driven certified veterinary technician with almost 3 years of experience working in general practice. I have a passion for client education and preventative medicine, and I enjoy working closely with pet parents to help keep their family members healthy and happy. I thrive in a team environment, and I love that collaboration is a focal point of this career.

In my roles, I triaged, admitted, and treated patients under the supervision of a veterinarian, including performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters. I also ran in-house laboratory tests and supported reference lab diagnostics, while advising and educating clients on sanitary measures, medication administration, feeding, general care, and treatment options. As a Lead Technician, I trained and supervised veterinary assistants and technicians and supported the clinic with administrative tasks like inventory, scheduling, and submitting referrals, plus hands-on care including assistance with surgical procedures, monitored anesthesia, sterilized surgical instruments, calculated doses, collected blood and urine samples, and maintained weekly and monthly machine upkeep.
