At CometChat, I migrated the React UI Kit from v6 to v7, implementing its new plugin architecture and resolving breaking changes while preserving existing functionality. I also improved Lighthouse performance scores to 90+ and developed end-to-end tests using Playwright.
I implemented offline support for the JavaScript SDK with encrypted local storage, cached conversations and media, and queued message synchronization when the network reconnects. I also added asset caching to serve previously downloaded resources from local storage.
