What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build accurate, explainable production systems at the intersection of machine learning, data, and payments or financial-crime prevention, with strong engineering practices and meaningful analyst feedback loops.

At Teya, I build real-time transaction monitoring and AML systems that protect merchants and an acquiring platform from financial crime. I design accurate, fast, explainable detection systems across Java/Spring Boot transaction services and Python data and ML workflows.

Over four years at Teya, I've worked across software engineering, data science, and ML engineering, reducing data-synchronization costs by 60% and building data-quality, experimentation, lead-scoring, and fraud-detection platforms. I'm completing a Master's in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Porto and care about production systems the next engineer can actually work in.
