Seelam Ranjini
@seelamranjini
I detect threats, analyze logs, and support incident response in SOC environments.
What I'm looking for
I've built practical SOC-focused cybersecurity skills through Palo Alto's Cybersecurity Virtual Internship and Deloitte's Cyber Job Simulation. I monitored simulated network traffic and endpoint alerts, triaged incidents, investigated IOCs, and supported escalation using structured SOC workflows.
My work includes ScoutScan, an automated web application vulnerability scanner that detects SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and insecure configurations. I built OWASP-aligned scanning modules and generated risk-prioritized reports with remediation recommendations.
I've also designed a triple-layer data-hiding mechanism combining cryptography and image-based steganography to strengthen data confidentiality. This project applied defense-in-depth and risk-mitigation principles relevant to security monitoring.
I'm a Cybersecurity graduate with academic grounding in network security, cryptography, security operations, and vulnerability assessment. I'm eager to bring Splunk, log analysis, alert triage, and threat detection skills to a live SOC environment.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Investigated simulated security incidents using log correlation and threat investigation techniques to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and support incident escalation. Assessed vulnerabilities and mapped observed activity to MITRE ATT&CK-style threat behavior to support risk-based incident response.
Monitored simulated network traffic and endpoint alerts in real time using SOC workflows; triaged and escalated incidents per industry-standard procedures. Practiced vulnerability management and log-based analysis techniques, identifying Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) within structured incident response simulations.
