Sarah Switala

I am an experienced school counselor, college and career center director, and independent educational consultant dedicated to supporting students' academic success, social and emotional well-being, and college and career readiness. My approach is rooted in the ASCA Professional Standards and Competencies, allowing me to effectively partner with more than 300 students annually to develop customized strategies for their growth. I pride myself on building strong relationships with students, families, and faculty, ensuring all stakeholders engage in the educational process.

From 2017-2022, I achieved a remarkable 99.5% graduation rate for my caseload. My experience includes developing and delivering evidence-based curricula and programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of K-12 students. I have extensive experience as a College and Career Director, wherein I provide outstanding guidance and support to students as they explore post-secondary opportunities. As a Quality Improvement Specialist and Program Manager, I successfully integrated behavioral health services into primary care practices, advocated for policies of health equity.

As Director of STEM-X, I managed a budget of approximately $200k while coordinating high-quality programming for more than 600 students. In that role, I hired, onboarded, and supervised 30+ staff in addition to developing a master schedule and coordinating transportation and nutrition services. My commitment to personal and professional growth drives me to continuously seek innovative solutions that maximize the potential of every individual with whom I work.
