What I'm looking for

I am seeking a role that fosters collaboration and supports student development.

I am a passionate school counselor with over two decades of experience in education, dedicated to supporting students' academic and social-emotional needs. Currently, I serve as the Lead Secondary Counselor for Las Cruces Public Schools, where I guide middle and high school counselors in behavioral health and professional development. My role also includes being the Section 504 site coordinator and NCAA coordinator, ensuring that students receive the necessary support to thrive.

In addition to my counseling duties, I am an adjunct professor at New Mexico State University, teaching the School Counseling Practicum class. My commitment to professional growth is evident through my participation in various leadership programs, including the ACTE Region IV Fellow Leadership Program. I have been recognized as the ACTE Region IV Counselor of the Year and have presented at numerous conferences, sharing insights on mentoring and supporting students effectively.
