Sarah Perez

I’m an Associate Dean | Assistant Professor of Nursing, bringing current clinical leadership and deep preop/PACU experience into the classroom. I focus on preparing nurses with real-world readiness through evidence-based nursing education.

In my current roles at WAYLAND BAPTIST UNIVERSITY (Associate Dean | Assistant Professor of Nursing) and AUSTIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE (Clinical Faculty Assistant), I support learning grounded in patient flow, perioperative care, and hands-on clinical standards.

I’ve led and cared across settings including RESOLUTE BAPTIST HOSPITAL and CHRISTUS HEALTH, working Preop, PACU, Phase II recovery, and PAT (Preadmission Testing). I’ve also served as an Oncology Nurse Navigator- GI Oncology, supporting navigation needs across oncology and related specialties.

I bring Leadership/Charge experience, Critical care experience, and bilingual strength in English & Spanish to team-based care. With ongoing education (MSN- Nursing Education, DNE projected), I’m committed to mentoring nurses who deliver safe, compassionate outcomes.
