What I'm looking for

I am looking to provide analytical support consulting for pharmaceuticals and forensics ensuring rigorous quality control, regulatory compliance, and defensible scientific data. By bridging complex chemical analysis with industry standards, I want to help organizations solve critical R&D challenges and validate manufacturing processes.

I’m a Senior Forensic Chemist focused on drug analysis. With a strong background in illicit drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Before DEA, I was a forensic chemist for a county laboratory providing drug and toxicology analysis. Earlier, as a Chemist in pharmaceutical environments, I identified and quantitated pharmaceuticals primarily using HPLC, investigated deviations, wrote CAPA reports, and supported method validation and in-house standards—plus maintained HPLC/GC/FTIR and produced annual FDA reports. I hold an M.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy, and I’ve trained in Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and Waters UPLC/tandem mass spectrometry.

Senior Forensic Chemist

Drug Enforcement Administration

Jan 2020 - Present (6 years 5 months)

Qualitatively identified controlled substances in evidence using GC, GC-MS, FTIR, GC-IRD, UPLC, NMR, CE, and LC-MS, producing accurate reports and quantitative results when requested. Analyzed 2,000+ exhibits, maintained UPLC/GC-MS/GC instruments, trained 5 forensic chemists, reviewed casework for quality compliance, and provided expert testimony on casework.

OO

Forensic Chemist

Oakland County Sheriff's Office

Jan 2016 - Jan 2020 (4 years)

Identified controlled substances using GC, GC-MS, FTIR, and urine immunoassay analysis on a AU680 chemistry analyzer, and provided expert testimony on casework. Calibrated and verified instruments, prepared reagents and standards, peer reviewed work for analytical and accreditation compliance, and supported method transfers and blood alcohol validation.

PP

Chemist

Par Pharmaceuticals

Jan 2013 - Jan 2016 (3 years)

Identified and quantified pharmaceuticals primarily using HPLC, completing peer data review and investigating deviations with CAPA reporting. Performed method validations, maintained controlled-substance and reference standard logbooks, trained analysts on HPLC and coagulation instrumentation, and routed change controls for procedural updates.

FL

Chemist

Ferndale Laboratories
