At Burke, Scolamiero & Hurd, LLP, I e-file documents with New York County and federal courts and draft legal documents, including answers, discovery demands, and responses. I also bill for attorneys and maintain timekeeping records.
I handle medical records and authorizations confidentially, correspond with other attorneys and firms on behalf of supervising attorneys, and maintain case files for multiple attorneys.
At Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, I managed document storage in NetDocuments and prepared closing binders using Microsoft Word and TitanFile. I also revised legal documents and prepared organizational charts and corporate incumbency certificates.
Earlier, as an intern at Christopher York Attorney at Law, I reviewed discovery and attended court proceedings and conferences. My academic projects included a qualitative research proposal on social and cultural factors affecting women's participation in violent crime.
