Santiago Llanes
@santiagollanes
Biology-focused ecology researcher and SENA apprentice advancing amphibian biodiversity knowledge.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Biology graduate who builds research and conservation insights from ecology and biological sciences, with a focus on amphibians. My thesis work centers on “Thermal Ecology of Dendropsophus molitor” in Colombian páramo ecosystems, and I actively develop knowledge through scientific events, posters, and presentations.
Alongside my SENA apprenticeship at the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA)—supporting administrative activities and specialized technical service—I strengthen my competencies in biodiversity characterization, taxonomy, acoustic monitoring, and ecophysiology topics. I’m motivated by field- and lab-oriented work that improves understanding of species ecology and supports evidence-based conservation.
