I am a PhD student in engineering with deep expertise in bioinformatics, metagenomic analysis, and microbial ecology. I have developed and applied advanced statistical and computational techniques for genomic sample cleaning, taxonomic and functional annotation, binning, metabolic reconstruction, and microbiome characterization using platforms like Model SEED, GapSeq, RAVEN Toolbox, and COBRA Toolbox.
My research focuses on implementing artificial intelligence protocols for de novo functional and enzyme annotation of unannotated sequences, driving innovation in metabolic modeling and microbial community analysis. I have contributed to applied projects in odor management for a hydroelectric plant and agricultural soil microbiome studies, and I work bilingually in Spanish and English.
