Sanjay Singh

I’m a backend and systems engineer with around five years of experience building high-performance services using Rust and event-driven architectures. I’m particularly interested in roles where performance, reliability, and system design matter more than surface-level features.

In my recent work, I built a distributed messaging system using Kafka that handled real-time and offline delivery across WebSockets, SMS, and polling APIs. One of the key challenges was maintaining consistency between real-time users and those reconnecting later. I addressed this by combining persistent storage with connection state tracking and idempotent processing, while keeping the system horizontally scalable using consumer groups.

I’ve also worked on low-latency systems in the context of trading infrastructure, where I optimized transaction pipelines for throughput and reduced overhead using efficient memory handling and async execution. Across projects, I’ve focused heavily on concurrency, fault tolerance, and predictable system behavior under load.

I Also have strong experience in blockchain systems, particularly around Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon-based infrastructure. My work has primarily involved building production systems rather than just contracts in isolation.

On the smart contract side, I’ve developed Rust-based programs on Solana, including token systems, vesting logic, and referral mechanisms using PDAs. I’ve also translated Solidity contracts into Anchor-based implementations, which gave me a solid understanding of differences in execution models and constraints across ecosystems.

Beyond contracts, I’ve worked on blockchain infrastructure and backend systems around them. This includes building high-throughput transaction pipelines on Solana, optimizing batching and execution latency, and designing systems that interact reliably with external liquidity providers. I’ve also worked at the protocol level, modifying Geth behavior and setting up Polygon Edge networks with custom extensions.

Additionally, I’ve contributed to Solana core and SPL libraries, particularly around hashing functions, which gave me exposure to lower-level performance and design considerations.

I’m most interested in roles where blockchain is treated as part of a larger system—where backend reliability, performance, and integration matter as much as on-chain logic.
