Samuel Martin

I’m a Sports Management student (Bachelor of Arts) graduating May 2026, and I’ve built my foundation through hands-on athletic leadership and disciplined preparation. As a Team Captain in my senior season and a starter in all 70 games I played, I learned how to motivate teammates, build culture, and follow through consistently—even with early morning workouts.

I also support athletics beyond the field. I helped with game day operations for Volleyball, Basketball and Soccer, and I practiced and competed in the Fall season while winning intersquad competition; when I faced injury, I rehabilitated to return to play. Outside of sports, I collaborate with others and serve my community through fundraiser set-up/planning, food drives, and community events.

Professionally, I bring the same reliability and people-focus to every role I take on. At the Hagerstown Fieldhouse, I worked closely with the Sports and Fitness Director—making phone calls, helping set up events and sporting games, building a corporate membership discount plan, and supporting front desk operations with computer work. I’ve also delivered fast, careful execution as a FedEx Package Handler (safe package handling in hot temperatures with heavy and large packages), maintained a high standard of service as a Dishwasher in a fast-paced restaurant by communicating with cooks/line staff, and managed independent lawn schedules by tracking weather and adjusting plans as needed.
