Samuele Zannoni

I've designed and experimentally tested an electro-adhesive anchoring strategy for robotic exploration of asteroids and comets at Politecnico di Milano. My thesis focused on mobility and anchoring solutions for small-body missions, using SolidWorks to build a test-bench setup and MATLAB to process regolith-simulant test data.

At Arctic Reflections, I supported autonomous Arctic rover development through preliminary subsystem sizing, Python simulations of rover operations, and analysis of future field-test outcomes.

I've also conducted vehicle trade-off analyses for near-term Arctic operations, sourced quotes from Canadian vehicle dealers, and led discussions with robotics companies in the US and Canada to identify off-the-shelf autonomous vehicles.

My space-systems work includes reverse engineering the MetOp-A spacecraft and designing a spacecraft attitude controller in Simulink/MATLAB. I'm eager to build a career in space systems engineering that supports new discoveries and future exploration.
