What I'm looking for

I seek roles leveraging bilingual translation and comparative literature expertise—academic, editorial, or cultural projects that value cross-cultural nuance, research-driven work, and teaching/mentoring opportunities.

I am a bilingual Arabic–English translation specialist and comparative literature scholar with a PhD from the University of Arkansas. I produce precise, culturally nuanced translations that preserve tone, context, and rhetorical intent across academic, literary, and professional texts.

My academic work examines representations of Black and Afro-Arab characters in contemporary Arabic literature, and I have presented at major conferences including ACLA, MESA, and APA. I have published peer-reviewed work and completed a dissertation now available through ProQuest.

I have taught English literature, cultural studies, and language courses in both the United States and the Middle East, advising and mentoring predominantly Arabic-speaking students while developing tailored curricula and instructional materials. I have experience as a graduate assistant, lecturer, teaching assistant, and editorial assistant.

I hold a strong record of professional development, awards, and fellowships, and I seek roles where I can apply my translation expertise, cross-cultural communication skills, and scholarly background to support academic programs, cultural institutions, or research initiatives.
