Saman Niaz

I’m an Analytical Software Engineer and a current Master’s student in Data Science (MSDS), blending software development lifecycle practices with statistical data analysis. I enjoy turning messy, real-world data into clean, reliable models and clear visual insights.

I work hands-on with Python for Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), data visualization, and predictive modeling using machine learning algorithms. In my “Data Analysis & Predictive Modeling” portfolio, I wrangle and normalize datasets with Pandas and NumPy, build interactive charts with Matplotlib and Seaborn, and train/validate supervised ML models to identify patterns and predict target values.

I also bring strong engineering discipline from my projects and mentoring experience. My Android capstone (“Smart Irrigation System”) connects IoT telemetry through external REST APIs, includes unit testing and log-based diagnosis, and targets cross-version compatibility—while my role as a Technical Mentor and CS Tutor strengthens how I explain concepts, debug logic, and collaborate on structured solutions.
