Saif Ullah
@saifullah2
PhD microbiologist specializing in antimicrobial resistance and host-pathogen interactions.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated microbiologist with a PhD from Zhejiang University, where I focused on antimicrobial resistance and host-pathogen interactions. My research on the mobile colistin resistance gene (mcr) has contributed significantly to our understanding of antibiotic resistance mechanisms in Gram-negative bacteria. During my postdoctoral studies, I explored the role of Rickettsia species in immune evasion and bacterial attachment, further enhancing my expertise in microbiology and molecular biology.
Currently, as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of New Mexico, I am investigating the antiviral TRIM5 protein and its role in selective autophagy. I am passionate about applying my research skills to advance innovations in biology and contribute to impactful scientific discoveries. I thrive in collaborative environments that foster creativity and scientific inquiry, and I am eager to bring my knowledge and experience to a dynamic research team.
