What I'm looking for

I'm looking to advance research and teaching in environmental science, ecotoxicology, fish physiology, and reproductive biology, with opportunities to investigate pollution mechanisms and contribute to scientific research.

I'm currently a CSIR Research Associate at IISER Kolkata, investigating environmental science after completing my Ph.D. in Zoology at the University of Calcutta.

My research examines how zinc, lead, pesticides, salinity, and other environmental stressors affect fish physiology, reproductive biology, oxidative stress, and endocrine pathways. My work on Mystus vittatus has shown how zinc and lead impair steroid-driven oocyte maturation and disrupt the hypothalamo-pituitary-gonadal-liver axis.

I've contributed to peer-reviewed research in journals including Journal of Applied Toxicology, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Aquatic Toxicology, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, and Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology.

Alongside research, I've taught Zoology as a guest lecturer at Diamond Harbour Womens’ University and Serampore Girls College. I use methods including ELISA, Western blotting, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, flow cytometry, microscopy, and spectroscopy to study ecotoxicology and fish reproductive biology.
