What I'm looking for

I'm looking to lead backend architecture and delivery for scalable production products, combining hands-on engineering with mentoring, client collaboration, cloud modernization, and ownership of complex reliability challenges.

At Codal, I've helped grow a long-running content-sharing platform from an early-stage product into a large production system supporting messaging, media, payments, premium content, and real-time communication.

I've evolved backend architecture from a PHP monolith toward service-oriented systems, building the first Express.js microservice and supporting NestJS services, Yarn Workspaces, SQS communication, and a Node.js/Socket.IO server handling 20K+ messages per minute.

I lead technical delivery for teams of up to 10 developers, translating client requirements into realistic engineering plans while owning architecture, estimation, mentoring, releases, production support, and complex technical blockers.

I've modernized AWS infrastructure through Docker, ECS, Terraform, and Aurora migration planning, reduced critical MySQL queries from 10–30 seconds to 1–2 seconds, and led a production database migration with roughly three minutes of downtime.
