Rose Davis

I’m Rose Davis, and I build strong stories through clear reporting, careful editing, and reliable follow-through. From writing for a local newspaper to supporting youth-focused library work, I’m at my best when I’m turning information into something people can trust and enjoy.

As a Writer and Distribution Manager for The Alabamian Newspaper (2021-23), I wrote various newspaper articles for publication, and I also wrote, edited, and proofread content. I handled distribution for the newspaper and maintained distribution locations, while organizing and instructing volunteer groups to support smooth execution.

In my Graduate Assistant role in the Communication & Information Studies Department (2024-2026), I wrote news articles on student, faculty, and alumni achievements. I conducted interviews, managed self-led research, and supported digital asset uploading and metadata management—so my work stays accurate, organized, and usable.

During my Library Services Internship at The Camelia Center Library (Fall 2025), I supported everyday service and collection maintenance by assisting with collection selection, weeding, and relocation. I also engaged with library patrons and guests, helping me stay people-centered while learning how information services operate behind the scenes.
