Ronaldo Pires

As a seasoned professional with a strong background in corrosion protection, I have honed my skills in designing, inspecting, installing, and maintaining cathodic protection systems for onshore and offshore oil & gas structures. With over 18 years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of corrosion prevention and mitigation strategies.

Throughout my career, I have worked with various organizations, including Prefeitura Municipal de Sorocaba, TecnoCorr Tecnologia em Controle de Corrosão, IEC Instalações e Engenharia de Corrosão, and Alfa Laval. My expertise extends to buried pipeline coating inspection and investigation, as well as project management. Now I’m finishing my career transition to IT field working as a systems analist at Prefeitura de Sorocaba, a job that I got by being approved on a public tender, even though I didn’t have any experience or certification on the area, which proves that I’m beyond capable of doing it.

In addition to my technical skills, I possess advanced knowledge of Excel-VBA programming and proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript/Typescript. I am also fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, with basic knowledge of German.
